1. How do I become a Student Election Judge?

Please contact the Park County Clerk and Recorder - Election Department 719-836-4223 or come in to the Clerk and Recorder Office at 856 Castello Ave, Fairplay, CO 80440.

3. How do I become eligible to vote?

In order to be eligible to vote, you must register in the county in which you reside. By registering, you declare your residency in the State of Colorado within the County and District of your actual physical residence. You must register 22 days before the election to be eligible to vote.

4. What are the requirements to register to vote?

To register you must:

• Be a U.S. citizen
• Reside in this state at least 22 days before the election
• Provide proof of ID

5. Can I register to vote if I am not yet 18 years of age?

Yes, you can register at the age of 16 and will receive a ballot if you will be 18 on or before Election Day.

6. Do I have to bring my identification to register or vote?

Yes, it is necessary to present identification when you register to vote, when you vote early, or vote at the vote center. One of the following forms of identification is required:

• A valid driver's license
• A valid identification card issued by the Department of Revenue
• Your Social Security number

One of the following forms of ID is required when voting early or at your vote center:

• A valid driver's license
• A valid identification card issued by the Department of Revenue
• A valid United States Passport
• A valid Employee Identification Card with photograph of the eligible elector issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the United State Government or of this State, or by any county, municipality, board, authority, or other political subdivision of this State
• A valid pilot's license with a photograph of the eligible elector issued by the Federal Aviation Administration or other authorized agency of the United States
• A valid United States Military Identification card with a photograph of the eligible elector
• A valid Medicare or Medicaid card issues by the United States Health Care Financing Administration
• A certified copy or a birth certificate for the elector issued in the United States
• Certified Documentation of Naturalization
• A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the elector

Note: All acceptable forms of identification must reflect a Colorado address.

7. What happens if I don't bring an acceptable form of ID to the polling place?

8. When do I vote?

You will receive a ballot in the mail or visit one of our Voter Service and Polling Center locations. Election dates, times and locations may be obtained by contacting the Park County Clerk and Recorder’s office at (719) 836-4223.

9. When is the deadline to register to vote?

If you want to vote in an election, you can register online at govotecolorado.com , mail, or deliver your registration form to your County Clerk and Recorder no later than 22 days before the election in which you wish to vote. Your eligibility to vote will be based on the postmark date or the date you file your registration form in the Clerk and Recorders Office. Register to Vote

10. How do I update my address information after I've moved?

If you move from your voter registration address, you must change your new address with the County Clerk and Recorder. You may either make the change online at govotecolorado.com, mail your address change to our office or come into our Bailey or Fairplay Office.
Please Note: If you have not changed your address and it is within the 19 day period before the next election, you must come into the Elections Department at the County Clerk and Recorder's Office to make the change.
