While fewer children have severe COVID-19 infections than adults, children can still get sick with the virus and spread it to others. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can help your child stay healthy, keep them in daycare/school, and protect your family and community.
Vaccines for younger children work the same way as vaccines for older children and adults. But the dose is smaller to make sure it’s safe and gives the best possible protection for this age group. Thousands of families volunteered to make sure the vaccine for younger kids is safe and works well.
