Park County, Co – Park County Coroner David Kintz, Jr., announced the identity of the individual found in June 2020 found in the Lost Creek Wilderness Area through investigative genealogy services, as Gregory Allan Woodford (1989-2019) who had lived Colorado Springs, CO and was from Roanoke, Virginia. Coroner Kintz, Jr. was joined by United Data Connect, Inc., who provided the investigative genetic genealogy services that led to the successful identification.
“We wish to extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Gregory Allan Woodford and thank the family for their cooperation as we navigated through unknown family connections. We also want to thank the many people who tested at FamilyTreeDNA.com; without their contribution this identification would not have been possible.
