We are aware of the fire in the Lost Creek Wilderness Area. There is no threat to any homes at this time.
Update: Fire is 3.2 miles from Shawnee. 37 acres in size. Fire is a crown fire with 2 spot fires started. Type 1 Forest Service Hot Shot crew on scene with Platte Canyon Fire on scene. 1- type 2 helicopter on scene and 4 more Hot Shot crews on order. Sheriff's office is blocking all roads leading into the fire area. So far this is entirely a Forest Service fire.
