[ARCHIVED] Development Services - Modified Office Schedule

Effective October 9, 2018, the Development Services offices will close to the public at 4:00 p.m. every day until further notice.

Sheila Cross, Director, states: “We have been experiencing an extremely large volume of development permit applications being submitted. It has become virtually impossible to meet the demands to review plans and issue permits to the applicants in a timely manner while maintaining proper service at the counter.  In an attempt to get permits “out the door,“ the County has decided to close the office to the public 2 hours early each day until the application back-log is diminished to a manageable amount.  The time will be used to process permit applications and review plans, and conduct other permit-related activities, in a more focused manner.“

Tom Eisenman, County Manager, further states: “The decision to close has not been made lightly. We see no other action to take, to address the needs of our community. We hope that you will bear will us until we can return to normal business hours.”

Customer patience and understanding is greatly appreciated during this period of modified schedule.
