[ARCHIVED] Contractor License Renewals

Renewals for all contractor licenses are due no later than 1/31/18.  This applies to licenses issued through Environmental & Code Compliance and Building.  Licenses will still be valid for a calendar year, with January being provided as a renewal grace period.  In accordance with information sent last year, reminder letters will not be mailed out.  To renew, please drop by the office or call the applicable department.  To renew septic-related licenses by phone, please call 719.836.4267.  To renew building-related licenses by phone, please call 719.836.4255.

Also note that we are working towards on-line renewals next year.  This will require us to assign new license numbers.  We will begin that transition later this year.

One final change with regards to Building licenses...  Class A licenses previously covered both residential and commercial work.  Beginning in 2018, contractors who tested under the "unlimited" umbrella will need to renew as Class A and/or Class B contractors, depending on the specialties practiced.  New Class A licenses will only be valid for commercial work, and Class B licenses will be required for residential work.

Please let us know if you have any questions, and thank you in advance for your cooperation and assistance.
