Puma Hills River Ranch contains 2.5 miles of Tarryall Creek along Park County Road 77 north of Lake George. The riparian community associated with Tarryall Creek provides especially high quality habitat for mule deer, elk, waterfowl, and breeding songbirds.
Conservaiton of the ranch contributes to resource integrity of the Tarryall valley and provides an opportunity for the general public to enjoy its scenic values along the county road. Owners of the ranch will maintain their multi-generation agricultural operation and overnight guest facility.
Funding for the conservation easement was provided by Great Outdoors Colorado, Park County Land and Water Trust Fund, Colorado Division of Wildlife, and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
