Arrowhead Ranch

Fall colored trees set against a blue sky

The Arrowhead Ranch possesses significant wildlife habitat and is  vital to maintaining integrity of the South Fork of the South Platte  River corridor. Conservation of riparian wetlands, mixed montane forest, and lower montane grasslands (910 acres total) complement  other conservation efforts in the corridor.

A diverse public/private partnership to conserve the Arrowhead  began in 1998.  The core partnership included Park County, Colorado Open Lands, and the South Park Wetlands Focus Area Committee (SPWFAC).  Funding for conservation easements was provided by Great Outdoors  Colorado, NAWCA and the Park County Land & Water Trust Fund.
