Communicable Disease Control

Communicable Disease Control / Investigation

Park County Public Health is responsible for communicable, infectious, zoonotic and vector-borne disease surveillance, investigation, and control. A key component of the work Park County Public Health does in this area is prevention by providing guidance and information to the public with regard to the treatment of communicable diseases and toxic substances whether naturally occurring or terrorist induced. This includes the alert notification initiated by the Health Alert Network (HAN). Park County Public Health will provide public information and community education regarding any public health threat. For additional information on communicable disease, see Colorado Department of Health and Environment Communicable Diseases.
