Our mission is to impart a quality service for the development endeavors of the public and to endow a safe and healthy community for the citizens and visitors of Park County.
Responsibilities
Development Services has three divisions:
- Code Enforcement Department
- Receives the written and signed complaint form describing the possible land-use regulation violation
- Environmental Health Department
- Works with land owners to obtain septic and driveway permits
- Conducts site evaluation and wetlands delineation
- Inspects food preparation at retail food establishments and special events
- Provides timely information to the public for food recalls and other adverse health issues
- Planning and Zoning Department
- Works with landowners for developing their property
- Researches and recommends the highest and best use of the parcels in Park County

County Hazard Mitigation Plan Update
Park County is in the process of updating the County’s Hazard Mitigation Plan.
Community input and involvement is instrumental in the development of a
mitigation plan update that truly reflects the perceptions and needs of Park
County residents.
