Bring Your Vehicle To Us
You need a VIN inspection in order to register a vehicle for the first time in Colorado. You can have a VIN inspection done during regular office hours (Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm) at the Sheriff’s Office located at:

You will need a title (preferred), or the previous registration and the vehicle in order to get a VIN inspection. The cost if you bring your vehicle to the Sheriff’s Office is $10.

We Can Come To You
You can also make arrangements to have an inspection done at the location of the vehicle. Please call Park County Dispatch at (719) 836-4122, and a Deputy will call you to arrange a time to do the inspection. The cost for this service is $15.

Certified VIN Inspection
If you do not have any documentation for your vehicle, you will need to have a certified VIN inspection done. You must call Park County Dispatch to request a Certified VIN Inspection. The cost for Certified VIN Inspections is $20.
